How Oasis Solutions Started: From a Dream to a Software Company in Veliko Tarnovo

This is the first post on the Oasis Solutions blog, so it makes sense to start at the beginning. I am Plamen Petkov, the founder, and I want to tell you how one idea turned into a team that builds web and mobile software from Veliko Tarnovo.

Why "Oasis"

An oasis is what you dream of in the desert. Water, shade, a place where you can finally stop and then keep going. When I was choosing a name, that image was exactly what I had in mind. People come to us with something they dream about: a product, a platform, a store, an app. Our job is to turn that dream into working software.

We did not want to be just another development studio. We wanted to be the place where a client's idea becomes real.

2024: One person, one laptop

Before Oasis Solutions I spent more than eight years as a developer, the last few as a Senior Full-Stack freelancer working with Laravel, Symfony, NestJS, Node.js, and TypeScript, plus DevOps on the side: AWS, Serverless, Linux. I kept seeing the same thing in almost every project: software that technically works but does not fit how the business actually operates.

In June 2024 I registered Oasis Solutions in Veliko Tarnovo. No team, no office, just one person with a clear idea of what to do differently: honest scope, architecture that holds up after launch, and code the client can own.

The first client: 3B

The first Oasis Solutions project was for 3B, and it was not a "typical" website. I built their infrastructure on AWS and Heroku, wrote Backend logic for Salesforce, and developed the user interface with Lightning Web Components (LWC).

That project set the tone for everything after it. One client, three different worlds (cloud infrastructure, the Salesforce platform, and the Frontend), and one expectation: it all has to work together, reliably, in Production. That is still our approach today: we do not show off a tech stack, we solve the business problem end to end.

From one person to a team

Later that year Hristo Petrov joined the company, initially as a Frontend developer. Today he works across the whole stack and owns features from the interface to the API. His growth is the company's growth: from "I" to "we".

Together with Vasilen Minkov, Founder and CTO of Servify, we built a partnership for larger marketplace platforms. Oasis Solutions handles infrastructure, Backend modules, and consulting on payments, database structure, and SEO, while Vasilen brings Frontend depth with React and Next.js.

What we have built so far

In two years we have shipped projects across quite different fields:

  • Gabrovski Lawyer: a professional website for a law practice, built on Laravel and React;
  • Iveta Nail Care: a nail salon website on Laravel and Livewire;
  • Fakturite: a public invoicing SaaS with a Laravel API and a Next.js client;
  • Slotino: a free-to-play slots casino with gamification, an external game provider, and a large admin panel;
  • Servify: infrastructure and Backend modules for a platform connecting people with local service providers.

What they share is not the technology but the way we work: visible milestones, useful features delivered early, and software that can be maintained after launch.

This blog will be where we share what we learn: technical decisions, mistakes we learned from, and stories from the projects. No marketing clichés, real examples.
